New Parents Information

This section is for parents who have been allocated a place at Mount Primary after completing the admission procedure.

Firstly, welcome to our school community.  We hope that you and your child thrive at Mount Primary.

The admission process takes several months and is explained in the table below.

Parents receive confirmation of place at Mount Primary from Wirral Council Admissions. Mid April  If you haven't received a letter or e-mail, please contact the council admissions department.
We write to you as parents confirming your place at the school. Mid May This is delayed whilst we wait for your contact details to be sent to the school.
We invite you to a parents induction meeting Mid June This is a parents only meeting to go through essential information.
Children come for a 'Stay and Play' session to meet their new teacher. Early July Parents can stay.  We have a coffee morning for parents.
We visit your children's nursery settings June and July We try and visit all nursery settings. Sometimes this is not possible and we will have a phone conversation.
We invite all families to a family picnic afternoon Mid July A great opportunity to meet all the staff and families in a friendly and informal way.
Children start school in 2 groups on 7th September. First two weeks in September Children start half day sessions.  See attached download for full information.
We hold parent and teacher welcome meetings on Friday 12th September.  Children don't attend school on this day. Monday 26th September. We will arrange these meetings with you.
Your child starts full time Monday 13th September. Parents do have the option to continue part time until October half term.
