Our Parents' Forum

Our Parents' Forum are a really important part of our school community.

They hold meetings at least once a term to discuss important aspects of school life.  Any parents are welcome to attend the meetings.  Dates and agendas are shared on this website and in the school newsletter. Mr Cassidy (Head Teacher) and/or Mrs Higgins (Deputy Head Teacher) attend all meetings.  The meetings are chaired by Kate Jones, one of our Parent Governors.

Examples of issues discussed include;

  • School meals
  • Home learning policies
  • Anti Bullying policies
  • Road Safety
  • Charging Policies

Our Parents' Forum also organise family 'Big Days Out'.  In recent years these have included trips to York Christmas Market and Eureka Children's Museum in Halifax.

This section contains examples of agenda and literature from the Forum.

“Come along. The meetings only last an hour. They are
not too formal and there is an opportunity to ask questions
about anything that you want to know. They really help you
to feel and understand that the school does listen” Year 6 Parent
