Computing

Welcome to the Computing curriculum information page. At Mount Primary School, we believe that computing should be engaging and purposeful which is why we offer new skills within a real life context.  We aim for pupils to become independent, creative, respectful and problem-solving citizens with a broad and transferable skill set. At Mount, we use the scheme The Connected Curriculum, which helps make computing fun and inspiring. The children learn a wide range of new skills in the following areas:

  • Computer science (programming)
  • Information Technology (creating digital content and computer skills)
  • Digital literacy (E-safety and understanding computer systems.

Ultimately, our aim is to inspire the next generation of computer programmers, engineers and designers.
