PE

Welcome to our PE curriculum page. At Mount Primary School, we believe that PE is about more than just playing games; it is the foundation for building competence, confidence, and character. Our curriculum is designed to ensure every child understands their body in action, develops a lifelong love for movement, and makes informed choices about their health.

We provide a diverse and high-quality sporting offer that challenges children physically and mentally. Our students explore:

  • Team & Individual Games: Developing tactical awareness and sportsmanship.
  • Gymnastics & Dance: Focusing on poise, core strength, and creative expression.
  • Swimming & Water Safety: Ensuring every child is safe and confident in the water.
  • Athletics: Building stamina, speed, and personal bests.
  • Outdoor & Adventurous Activities (OAA): Developing problem-solving and teamwork in the great outdoors.

To find out more about physical education at Mount Primary School please explore the PE documents on this page. These include the PE curriculum aims, curriculum maps and information about our extra-curricular sports.
