Children's Flu Vaccinations
Your child’s flu vaccination is now due.
This vaccination is recommended to help protect your child against flu. Flu can be an unpleasant illness and can cause serious complications.
Vaccinating your child will also help protect more vulnerable family and friends by preventing the spread of flu.

e-Consent…it’s so easy!
Working in partnership with Wirral Community Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust, we’re delighted to introduce a new way for our parents and carers to consent to their school aged children’s vaccinations.
You can now provide e-Consent for all your child’s vaccinations with the click of a button, using your mobile phone, computer, laptop or tablet.
The new e-Consent process is:
- safe and secure
- easy to use
- convenient and saves time
- friendly to the environment - saves paper
How it works:
- you’ll receive an email or text from ourselves with a link to the e-Consent form
- the form is simple and easy to complete
- once you’ve completed the e-Consent form, click ‘submit’
- you’ll receive an email to confirm the form has been received securely
- the Trust’s Immunisation Team will receive your child’s form via a secure portal
- if you’ve consented, your child will have their vaccine here in school
Remember, the new e-Consent process is easy, secure and convenient!
For information of ALL school age vaccinations please visit https://www.wchc.nhs.uk/econsent/
Please complete the online consent form (one for each child) using the link below
https://www.wchcimms.co.uk/
Each school has a unique code to access the consent, your school code for Mount Primary is WC104993
DATE OF VACCINATION: Thursday 16th November 2023
Please ensure you complete the on-line form no later than 3 days prior to session.
The vaccination is free and is a quick, simple and painless spray up the nose. Even if your child had the
vaccine last year, the type of flu can vary each winter so it is recommended to have it again this year or they won’t be protected.
The nasal spray vaccine contains a very small amount of
purified porcine gelatine as an essential ingredient to keep it stable and able to work. For those who may not
accept medicines or vaccines that contain porcine gelatine, a flu vaccine injection is available. Since the
programme was introduced, most children offered the vaccine in schools have had the immunisation.
If you have any queries, please contact the healthcare team on 0151 514 2510
If your child becomes wheezy, has a bad attack of asthma, or has started oral steroids for their asthma
after you return this form, please contact the healthcare team on 0151 514 2510.
If you decide you do not want to vaccinate your child against flu, please return the consent form giving the
reason. This will help us plan and improve the service.
Yours sincerely,
School Age Immunisation Service
