We increased our prices in September 2023 for the first time since we took over operation of the kitchen in September 2013.

We do our best to accommodate any child for school meals when difficult family circumstances arise and we will strive to ensure that a “packed lunch” child receives a school meal should there be a problem on a particular day. You will still be required to pay for the meal(s).

Your child may be eligible for Free School Meals if you are in receipt of benefits. Please visit https://www.cloudforedu.org.uk/ofsm/sims-wirral/ to complete the short application.

Paying for meals:

Child is in	Cost of school meal per day
Foundation 2 [F2], Year 1 or Year 2	£ Free
Year 3, 4, 5 or 6 AND child registered with Wirral Borough Council for Free School Meals	£ Free
Year 3, 4, 5 or 6 AND child not registered for Free School Meals	£2.20

We accept payments using an online service called ArborPay. Every child at Mount Primary has an "account" linked to their name within Arbor as the service provides the child's main school record, and is used for other activities such as our Lighthouse Club and school trips, consents and contact detail changes. You will receive a link to create your account in Arbor when your child starts school. We expect meals to be paid for in advance. If your ArborPay account goes into arrears, you will be contacted to clear the debt. If debts are not cleared, you will need to provide a packed lunch for your child. Cash Payments – we do not accept cash payment for meals in school.
