Why I want to be a governor: Richard’s interest in becoming a governor is based on his enthusiasm for helping improve educational standards, combined with his commitment to making civic contributions. Bringing his experience in the university sector to bear, Richard aims to support Mount Primary in achieving its objectives whilst navigating the challenges schools are prone to.
Personal Information: Richard is a senior lecturer in law and programme director at Liverpool John Moores University. He heads the BA in Law, Business, and Management programme, which is a collaboration between the Business and Law Schools. And he is the research lead for the Business, Corporate, Financial, and Technology Unit.
Richard has won research grants from the Society of Legal Studies, the Institute for Humane Studies, and LJMU. His published work has been cited by, amongst others, the Quarterly Review of Economics and Finance, Seattle University Law Review, and the Washington University Law Review. And he has been interviewed by the media, including BBC Radio Merseyside, BBC North West Today, and BBC North West Tonight.
Richard is one of the founding co-managing editors of the Journal of Artificial Intelligence, Risk Regulation, Law, and Policy. And he is a former associate editor of the Oxford University Commonwealth Law Journal.
